Belfast ― 5th March 2024 ―Options Technology, a trailblazer in capital markets infrastructure, today announced its sponsorship of the 2024 Spar Craic 10K St. Patrick’s Day Run in Belfast.
Now in its 9th year, the annual St. Patrick’s Day event is expected to be the biggest and best yet, bringing together runners and spectators from across the country and beyond.
A focal point in any Northern Irish runners’ calendar, upwards of 2,000 people take part in the race annually, running from Belfast City Hall to the finish line at Ormeau Park.
Options, a global company with a presence in ten key financial cities worldwide, first opened in Belfast in 2014, and teams from Options’ Belfast headquarters have participated in the SPAR Craic 10k event since the inaugural run in 2015.
Danny Moore, Options’ President and CEO, said, “We are excited to support this year’s SPAR Craic 10k St Patrick’s Day run. This fantastic event has become an annual tradition in our sporting and events calendar, and one that brings our community together in such a unique way. The announcement follows news of the firm’s sponsorship of the Irish Echo’s 40 Under 40 Awards, its partnership with Microsoft and its appointment of Laura McCann to Chief Financial Officer.
In 2019, Options received investment from Boston-based Private Equity Firm, Abry Partners. This investment has enabled Options to accelerate its growth strategy and develop its technology platform whilst expanding its reach in key financial centres globally.
