All Hands On Deck: Behind The Scenes Of A Client Office Move

Moving office is rarely a straightforward and hassle-free process. The Pandora’s Box of technology requests, there are no shortage of potential setbacks to both your team, and your business.

From user-connectivity, team management, floor planning and post-migration support, delivering a timely and cost-effective office move is not without its pitfalls. Thankfully, at Options (with over 35 moves in 2015 alone) we’re happy to put clients at ease, endeavouring as always to exceed expectations, minimise costs, and provide our expertise with a personal touch.

2015 was an exciting year for Options. Between managing our own expansions in New York and London, we also supported over 35 clients in their office moves, most recently for Silverpeak in busy late December.

Over the course of one weekend, 15 of our technicians were on-site at Silverpeak offices (both former and new) to assist over 70 users; configuring VLAN’s, conferencing kit, desktops and ensuring full connectivity and comms room facilities were fully operational come Monday morning.

As with any office move at Options, and regardless of user-size, our team of project managers and engineers are on-hand 24-7 to support clients and minimise disruption. We understand that moving your hardware from A to B is far from half the battle. A successful move depends on a support team who understand your business and user-specific preferences, as well as the key account managers and technicians who you’re familiar with and can rely on to be onsite before and after your migration.

As with most of our successes in 2015, numbers and stats are only half the picture. You have to see it to believe it…
